We are looking for a small, core group of contributors to help provide enterprise management related content for the Alinement Network magazine and community site. This is a voluntary exercise at this point but we expect to offer some remuneration as the site matures. Right now however, there are some very real advantages to putting your thoughts together that I will outline below .....
1. Get things off your chest A number of us have knowledge and views that we do not get the opportunity to apply in our jobs so contributing to the Alinement Network can be a way of expressing yourself - your experiences, good ideas do not have to wait for "management approval". Simply vent your frustrations it can free your mind and allow you to think more constructively. 2. Clarifying your thoughts The act of writing itself is a great way to organize and synthesize your own thoughts, allowing you to be more articulate about your views and clear in your communications. 3. Writing to keep alert Regular writing also makes you more aware of things and sharpens your ability to observe and understand them making you an active participant alert to new opportunities and interpretations. 4. Commune with others Sharing your views and opinions with other like minded practitioners provides the opportunity to get feedback that can help further develop your ideas. Stimulating your thinking The exchange ideas, concepts and views in the mature, respectful community of peers that the Alinement Network brings togethers offers new insights that can increase your personal and professional effectiveness. 6. Professional exposure You will receive full credit for every contribution you make to the site that provides a showcase of your interests and experiences that increases your professional visibility and kudos. 7. Biography All contributors are offered the opportunity to have their professionally edited biography and picture posted on the site. You have the choice of using your name or being an anonymous known only to the editors, and who is only contactable by email. 8. Additional site privileges As a registered contributor, you will receive access to privileged information that is only available to paying subscribers. As an example, our editors synthesis of key material offers quick-facts that are both personally stimulating and act as great are conversation-starters with your colleagues and/or clients. 9. Writers support group While some of us have significant experience and insights to share, we are not all natural writers sometimes we find it difficult to express ourselves. Recognizing that fact we have our editors facilitate support groups and actively assist authors to get breakthrough their personal barriers and become more accomplished writers. 10. Publication record Your contribution will be presented in a professionally edited and formatted layout that can be used to enhance your personal portfolio, resume or website. 11. Raise your profile You can blog separately if you want but you run the risk of being lost in the vast sea of bloggers out there. The Alinement Network will actively promote your articles and help you raise your head above the crowd. 12. Editorial Board Regular contributors can be invited to join the Editorial Board representing the different knowledge-areas addressed by Alinement Network. These are rotating positions that attract additional respect and help determine the future direction of the community.
